👋 Funding News “Loft Dynamics, a Swiss startup creating virtual reality (VR) simulation technology for helicopter pilots, has raised $20 million in funding from U.S. venture capital (VC) firms” from TechCrunch.

🏢 Events Working on an XR project as a dev or designer? Come check out this AR/VR Creators group Zoom meeting where you can share your issues and help others troubleshoot theirs, AR/VR Creators Helpdesk.

🦜 Discussion More and more of us have been using AI generated art in our games and apps. Well, it’s already been easy; it’s as easy as entering the things you want via words, but thanks to OpenAI’s latest GPT3 powered chatbot, it just got even easier. Join the “AI as Prompt Designer” discussion here on Twitter.

In fact, we tried it out. The image at the top of this newsletter was the result of a prompt it thought of for us. I entered “Apes in the metaverse design”, and it came out with “a virtual jungle with towering trees and swinging vines, where players can climb, jump, and swing like apes.” …Not bad!

🔦 News Highlight Sony comes out with a more affordable motion tracking solution. They are not for sale in the US yet, but will come in the future! We hope this ends up making VR more immersive for the masses.
